It was a year of the highest highs and some really hard moments. Welcoming our second baby Joseph and soaking in time with my babies during maternity leave was everything. At the same time, losing a job I loved after nearly 8 years due to company-wide layoffs, right in the middle of postpartum, was a shock and added stress to a season that was supposed to be time to just focus on my new baby while already having a rough go at it.
I have always been someone who thrives when both my career and personal life are aligned, and this year forced me to pause, reflect, and remember my worth. While the change came sooner than I wanted, I’m choosing to believe it’s a blessing in disguise and one that’s allowing me to slow down and find what really makes me happy.
Right now, I’m doing consulting and lobbying work, spending intentional time with family, catching up on life, and trusting that the right next step will come. And in the middle of all of it, planning a wedding with my soulmate and dreaming about marrying him in 2026 with our babies by our side. 🤍
2025 taught me so much, but more than anything the importance of focusing on the good, even when things feel heavy. Here’s to brighter days in 2026! ✨
