⚪Charlie Allen, Connor Schalnat, and Mika Chew are teens who have been committed to learning glassblowing primarily through Pratt Fine Arts Center’s teen glassblowing program. Under the guidance of Jeanne Marie Ferraro, Mary Quinn, Philip Moran, Joe Ungco, and others, the three students have continually worked together in the Hot Shop on Friday nights, supporting and assisting one another on projects for over five years. Their piece represents a common survival technique—masking true feelings and self to present as happy or "normal."
⚪Alton Bucheimer is a trans AFAB Filipino glass artist working in Seattle, WA. Bucheimer's work explores gender and racial identity through pattern and form and is currently focused on the ways we communicate. Echo is blown glass, hand-engraved to create repeating vibrant patterns that evoke sound waves and heartbeats.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support.
The opening night was beyond anything I imagined — the gallery was packed.
I can’t wait to have another show there. Stay tuned.
It’s been 11 years since I first took a workshop at Corning in 2015. To return now — not as a student, but as an instructor — feels incredibly meaningful. I’m deeply grateful for this full-circle moment.
The class takes place one week after the GAS conference, so if you’re coming to GAS, why not make a trip of it? Spend some time exploring NYC for a week, then come join me at Corning for an immersive week in glass:)
Scholarship applications are due March 15 — I highly encourage you to apply before the deadline.
Corning is a place of euphoria for glass artists. Let’s gather there and make something unforgettable together!!

I decorate with my memories of America. A vase is a familiar art to decorate the instantaneous beauty of flowers. For me, a vase is something to decorate the moment. This concept of a vase fits the part of decorating my memories. I want to remind people that bacon and eggs are not just food, but also memories that each of us feels.
