I think I’m still in shock my dad’s earthly experience came to an end early yesterday morning. While I’m happy he’s reunited with my mom (his sweetheart), I’m so sad it’ll likely be a while before we laugh together until our faces are red and we’re gasping for air.

I’m so GRATEFUL for the life my dad worked tirelessly to create for me, my siblings, and my family.

Monday was such a beautiful day to have a wedding. It was a good day; definitely emotional, but good. Madison is our third oldest, but first to get married AND she had a super short engagement so I felt felt like a deer in headlights. 😂 Thankfully, I come from a big family so planning big events comes second nature to me. Not only did I survive, but I think it all came together beautifully. When you finish a big project like an exterior redo you may find yourself backing out of the driveway then backing up an additional 20 feet in front of the house just to take another peek at all of your hard work. 🤪😅😍 In June we decided we would hurry and replace the roof. Then we discovered it wasn’t properly flashed and so we had to tear off the siding to flash it properly. Upon tearing off the siding we also discovered we needed to sheet (install plywood on) the entire exterior of our house. That was a major project to say the least. 😅
We were in over our heads on this project - not for lack of skill on my husband’s part - just for lack of time and manpower! We ended up hiring siding contractors to finish up and they did an amazing job!
On to the next project...remodel the bathrooms or build a detached garage {white barn style}???? •

I searched and searched and REsearched to find the best couch for our large crew. I finally landed and customized this sofa and black plaid chairs and I am IN. LOVE. 😍😍😍 Not only does this long sofa make the room feel 10 times bigger but it provides seating for miles and miles for all the humans I love to gather in this room. Lots of hours will be logged cozying up on these super soft couches and durable, I might add, thanks to performance fabrics. It might be true that every time I walk through the room I’m dancing a little a happy dance in my head.

As a mom I don’t know if we can have enough of either of these oils around. If any of you have ever watched Seinfeld you’ll understand me when I say “Serenity now!” That’s pretty much how evenings go around here but thanks to this oil blend that plea for “serenity now” actually has literal meaning. Today marks 53 years since my parents married. Though my mom has passed on from this realm - together they continue to love, guide, support, and influence me, my spouse and my children.
