People slate LinkedIn all the time. Fair enough, I’ve seen the horror stories. Have lived through a fair few of them. I get it. Sometimes it resembles ya nan’s frilly pants and we’ve all cringed at weird posts flexing 4AM gym starts.

BUT… here’s the truth for me. I’ve won some MEGA contracts on there over the past year. This morning I’m doing some training on it. And last year I even started a membership that ended up paying my mortgage and then some.

So when people tell me LinkedIn “doesn’t work” or it’s “cringe” or it’s “weird” - believe me I hear you. We listen and we don’t judge.

It didn’t work for me for a long time but also… it really started to and I’m now I’m working on some epic things.

Maybe I’m one of the lucky ones, but I genuinely don’t get the creepy messages. Maybe people are scared I’ll find them and report them to their work places and their moms. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again 😂😂😂

For me, the platform has become a place where real banging opportunities happen. I’m tagged in new things daily and I’ve just landed a new project because of it. I’ve got over 16k followers on there so it’s pretty much my biggest platform for company growth.

For me it’s been about connecting with NICEEEE people in my industry, posting relatable content that sometimes goes viral, being kind and always always always calling out the bad company behaviour. Because here’s the thing babs, freelancers deserve fairness. Always.

We shouldn’t ever have to tolerate gaslighting, bullying, or dodgy company behaviour just to survive. And if I can use this slightly unhinged corner of the internet to advocate for that, I’m gonna do it.

You get out what you put in, and I’m currently managing some huge clients. I’m working more with hospitality and tech companies on there and I love it. So if you’re thinking of starting a company page, I’ve got some capacity for a few new clients.

Freelancers, what’s your LinkedIn experience been like? The good, the bad, the nan’s-frilly-pants dramas? Tell meeeeee!
Heatwave parenting is just standing in your garden saying “where is your hat” and “piss off” to the house flies on repeat. Inflatable pools with freezing cold water, ice cream is non-negotiable and there are regimental sun cream top ups. What else have I missed? Oh, sitting down for longer than 5-mins isn’t a thing either 😂☀️✌🏻
No seriously, it’s a tip top or NOTHING 😂☀️✌🏻

AD / Bank holiday done right✌🏻☀️ We headed to in the JQ today for an absolute feast and it did not disappoint. Chicken strip trays from, Detroit-style pizza from, salads and wraps from
ribs from, spicy chicken skins and jasmine rice from, Vietnamese coffees from and some beers to keep hydrated. Puds were from and the bambinos loved choosing their own toppings.

Safe to say we did not hold back and were all stuffed by the end. Lucky to have mates like and her daughter who came out to feast with us.

Saint Paul’s has some lovely independent traders, calm vibes, solid beers, table service (SO good if you’ve got kids to contend with like us!) and food from all over the world under one roof. If you haven’t been yet, what are you doing?! 👀

AD / Erm, guys… we need to talk about ‘CLAWS’ 👀📞

8PM last night, I sat at my kitchen table awaiting a phone call. I had no idea what was gonna happen, but it did.

And dear god, it was ✨theatre✨ to the highest level.

Massive shoutout to for being so brilliant.

Essentially, Danny has a monster in his house. He needs YOUR help. Simple enough, right? But… which side of the door is the danger really on?

‘CLAWS’ is a live, award-winning interactive thriller that comes straight to your phone. An actual phone call. It’s so simple that it borderlines terrifying.

It’s a horror movie for your ears where you decide what happens next. Some of your decisions are going to haunt you. Some parts were UNCANNY to my own life experiences which is very odd… perhaps just a mere coincidence? (nothing is ever a coincidence)

It’s an experience for one person.
One phone.
And whatever the hell is waiting on the other end.

I’ll be honest, I went in thinking “how scary can a phone call really be?” 😂 but I sat in silence for an hour afterwards. It’s immersive, it’s bloody intelligent, and it made my brain work overtime in the best possible way.

The “mom” in me took over a bit. But was it the right thing to do, right!?

I love anything immersive and scary and fun, and this is definitely the kind of thing you immediately want to tell everyone about. But I won’t, because you need to experience it for yourself.

Available worldwide and they kindly converted it to UK time.
All you need is your phone. And your nerve! 😰
Are you brave enough to pick up?

Full disclosure: I was invited to try this and I would have paid full price, I’m telling everyone I know. I’m already booking their next one. There was no expectation to post but this is just me being absolutely feral about something brilliant.

AD / Bank Holiday smasher 🍕 Papa Johns has launched their new Sourdough Range and honestly, it’s pretty impressive. It’s been years in the making apparently, with lots of recipe iterations. Sourdough always feels like the “healthier” option in a sense. It’s made using a real, aged sourdough culture fermented for up to 11 days.

There are three pizzas in the main range: Pepper & Pepperoncini, Salami & N’duja, and Chicken & Pesto, all sounding pretty epic. You can also make your own versions, and I always choose pepperoni.

That said, I’m still a classic original base kind of girl. Nothing wrong with the new stuff, but sometimes you just know what you love! Have you tried any of the new sourdoughs yettttt? 🍕
AD / A little note that if you have no plans for the bank holiday weekend, sit down and feast here. Feast some more and then again. Order beers and order even more. Actually in love with this updated menu and salivating at the thought of going back.

you’re sensational 🔥✨🤤
AD / NEW MENU JUST DROPPED AT PURECRAFT BAR & KITCHEN 💣

Summer has somewhat officially arrived at Purecraft Bar and she brought a FEAST. The bloody epic team have brought a new menu to life and big up head chef Jake for putting this together, it’s bloody stunning.

Whether you’re in the mood for popping in for a quick bite after work, on your lunch break, day off, or just because - settle in for a proper snack because there is something on here for absolutely everyone to love. Where to even start…

- Cheese Steak Sourdough Sandwich - bavette steak, beef fat onions, chimichurri and Monterey Jack. This was AMAZINGGGG. Tender, juicy, addictive. The sandwich was excellent too… 😂

- Footlong Mozzarella Stick, because sometimes you just need a decent pull in your life. Served with confit garlic mayo and vodka sauce. Damn!

- Smoked Peach & Burrata Salad - smoked almonds, fresh basil, lime and maple dressing. It tastes like summer feels.

- Pork & Black Pudding Scotch Egg with amber ale ketchup and potato straws. An absolute banger of a small plate.

- Purity Beer Battered Onion Rings, honestly, just trust me on these ones.

AND THAT’S NOT EVEN ALL OF IT.

They’ve got a sexy assortment of wings, burgers, a Ploughman’s board, squid ink risotto, chicken caesar… and so many more classics that have been levelled up. The full menu is live and waiting for you to stuff your entire face into. Washed down with a crisp pint, I’m actually jealous I’m not there right now.

Go, be free. Be Pure(craft) 💦🍺

A public announcement the combination of beans and our machine is god tier. I’ll be taking no further questions at this time. ☕️✨💋
Yesterday’s office was nice ☁️

OOO was much needed (albeit planned waaaaay in advance!) and I’ve landed some new client leads.

It pays to be away from the desk. I’m also doubling up on my books at the moment and I’ve started the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson 😍✨
