Urdhva Dhanurasana - it’s been nearly a year since my right rec fem detached from the pelvis - I’m just now getting the confidence to put bigger stress it’s way- I still don’t feel like I could even attempt to stand back up from here - not that there is any pain in this position just the mental thing now. While yoga doesn’t seem to cause discomfort in that injury area driving and sleeping seem to 😆🥴- the joys of getting older I guess 😜 #healing #backbend

2025 has been another year of doing what I love surrounded by those I love who fully support my ever changing journey. I’ve been teaching at some new places as well as the very special place that is and now after some time it’s all become a partnership where we all work together - valued connection and I am as much the student in the room as any who come along to class. Yoga today - every Monday 12-1pm we have a friendly dedicated group - all welcome 🤗. Prasarita Padottanasana D the fourth of the wide leg forward folds in Ashtanga - and so it starts again for me the practice of assimilation- everything I’ve heard carefully and passionately communicated by and felt in my body over two weeks - I will now try to use this embodied information to help all those who come - whoever they are - wherever they are in their life to move comfortably with presence in class- without pain - ❤️‍🩹 Yoga is tough and sweaty - but it is also fun and playful and it is for every BODY x

I’ve realised I move slower than life goes and I’ve been rushed through my life - swept along- but yoga has brought me back to being able to go at my own pace - and the pain that the sweeping along has had me experience is a gift that I wouldn’t give back because now I’m more aware and I hope to be even more aware as I go along and without doubt move through more pain and have more understanding - while in asana I relish being able to feel tiny movements - toes - skin - stiffness - softness all of it ❤️🙏🏻
