Have a lot of fun today 💛.

I will.
We have to move out of our beloved flat that we renovated with so much love as our older daughter was born, 5 years ago.

Change is a hard thing. I’ve never been good at it. It seems I don’t make decisions as much as wait things out til there is no other option left but to change.

On the other hand, change is always happening. Under the surface, every day. Is just that it sometimes bundles and becomes more tangible.

Having kids changes everything. It also makes change more prominent, more present, more heart wrenching. Changing shoe size, changing clothes, growing far too quickly.

Anyway, I think it’s time I learn to embrace change.

Onward and upwards to new adventures.
Join the wonderful Catrin Kemp and me for a day of writing and painting about motherhood.

Ever since I got my hands on incredible book, Revelations, I have been a different person. Her way of describing how women’s position in society has been gradually degraded by the envy of small minded men, is mind blowing. Also, it is infuriating.

Now, I am in no way against men. I am just here to say, let’s honor all that is good and nurturing in this world, be it male or female.

Let’s focus on the power of motherhood to give love and strength to all humans. Let’s make love, and care and nurture visible and give the work that goes into it the place of honor it deserves in our society.

You can start by joining Catrin and me in making a MANIFESTO of your own. A statement to hang on your wall and remind you of the power you already know lies in you as a mother. A power that can’t be taken away. 💪

I am both a mother and an artist.

Motherhood and caregiving sustain all life, yet they are routinely rendered invisible and undervalued.

My work insists that motherhood and care are not private matters, but central social concerns that belong in public space.
Mural at Hotel Berlin, painted along the entrance ramp to the parking area.

The work unfolds across ten figures, one for each month of pregnancy, tracing the physical and temporal transformation of the body over time.

Installed in a transitional space used daily, the mural places pregnancy into a shared, public environment rather than a private one.
This mural was painted at Teufelsberg, Berlin, for International Women’s Day.

Pregnancy, birth, and caregiving are the foundation of all human life, yet they are consistently undervalued and kept out of public space.

This work places care where it belongs. Visible. Central. Shared.
