It’s kind of hard to have dreams when it all seems impossible and, as an artist, the rise of AI has really effected the small dream I had.
I drew this to remind myself small dreams are still beautiful and important. It doesn’t have to be big and spectacular - it’s completely beautiful and magical to live a simple happy life.
So, here’s to small dreams that might be insignificant to outside eyes. Here’s to holding them close and letting them warm us.

So while I obsessively hummed ‘Lavender Haze’ at word and all my students stared at me and asked whose song it was I had an idea for an art piece.
(Please note that my 15 year old Japanese students did not know who Taylor swift was and now I feel old.)
Anyway I turned my TV on and played this song on repeat while drawing and this is what happened. I originally wanted the hair to look more like smoke but I reverted to my normal style probably out of comfort. Maybe one day I will rechallenge it. 🌿

I live pretty rural in Japan and at night I can see so many stars! ⭐️ i swear almost every night I’ll stand outside before going into my house and just look at them.
I love the name Luna. Anyone know any cool variations on the name? We want to have kids in the next couple of years so I’m compiling a name list now - because I’m always over prepared hahaha.

When I was 22 I moved to Japan.
In the 7 years I worked to get here the amount of people who laughed at me and said ‘No, you won’t’ when I told them I was going to move to Japan was ridiculous. People ridiculed the dream because it wasn’t about money, it wasn’t about anime, it wasn’t about love it was just what I felt in my heart I needed to do.

In the end, within 3 months of being in Japan I started dating my husband. Maybe the reason I always knew I had to move here was because he was here. Don’t let people pull you down and tell you it’s not gonna happen. Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground making steps to make what you dream happen.
No matter what your dream is.
