INTRO TO LETTERING
Tues, May 12 (6-8pm)
Designed for beginner learners, this workshop is a great opportunity to try embroidery for the first time! We will walk through my favourite basic stitches for lettering, with plenty of practice time built into the workshop. If you have an item you’d like to embroider (ex. bag, apron, etc.), feel free to bring it along to use as practice at the end. Select materials can also be taken home after the workshop (ex. needles, embroidery floss, needle threaders).
This workshop will be hosted at Mitchie Matcha, with matcha and baked goods available for purchase, so feel free to enjoy a treat as we work:)
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Absolute beginner. If you’ve never threaded a needle before, this is for you!
***If you’ve embroidered before or taken a previous workshop with me, I’d recommend waiting for a different workshop as this one will be at a much slower pace!***
Feel free to message if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!
next to embroider: maybe smth mareep? i love mareep so baaad

this valentine’s gift took me longer than i expected but i still managed to complete it in time 😌 i am so into home goods and i wanted to embroider a custom towel BUT instead of embroidering directly onto the towel, i decided to make a felt patch first to sew on. it was my first time trying a technique like this but would def recommend this for towels so the pile doesn’t show through the embroidery! it turned out so clean it almost looks like machine embroidery… also this is a face towel and i can verify this is a great towel for embroidery 😉

we are SO back in 2026 with another embroidery/crafty event. i’ve been on a slight break but i’m so excited to get back into events - think more snacky craft nights and different embroidery workshops (ex. bring your own item, absolute beginner stitches + small projects)
first event of this year is hosted with (thank you so much for sharing your space for the evening) and we’ll be sipping bubble tea and working on artsy things of any kind (ex. embroidery, crochet, junk journal, etc.). i’ll probably be embroidering?? so if you’re also embroidering and have any questions or want to be taught a stitch or two, i’m happy to help!! bring anything that you want to work on and let’s be productive together!
this event is free of charge but participants are requested to purchase a drink during their stay at the cafe - just sign up on the flock app to register!! can’t wait to see you there 😋

i’ve received questions before about how i started my embroidery account but i hadn’t ever addressed it in a post so what better way to start off the new year than with a re-introduction?
•
i never had any big expectations for my art... i just wanted to create things and share them with others. this has been my goal since the beginning and it still hasn’t changed! i’m still so surprised by how this account continues to grow and i’m so thankful that i’ve been able to become part of an amazing community through this hobby. i guess the lesson is... don’t be afraid to try out a new hobby because you never know what it may lead to? maybe this is your year to start something new too 😉

if you’d like to try hand embroidery, i’ve created beginner embroidery kits and a guide for embroidering apparel! these are suitable for all skill levels (definitely beginner-friendly) and are perfect if you’re not sure where to start. 🌟 PS. i recommend the apparel guide if you’d like to embroider on your own items (i use this method to embroider custom uniqlo bags) 🌟

please feel free to ask more questions about anything!! i’d be happy to make another post to share more and go into depth about specific topics about my embroidery/account <3 also thank you if you read this far hahaha

I heard this bag has been poppin on TikTok but why not make it pop some more with a little floral customization? I decided to embroider on the bag straps this time since I’ve already embroidered on the body of my Be the Sun bag and wanted to try something new! The rose quartz serenity colour combination pairs well with the beige base and I can’t wait to style this for autumn 🤩

Didn’t want to forget anything about Seventeen’s world tour so I embroidered the whole setlist on my back!! I wasn’t planning on touching my concert merch because I only have one chance or it’s ruined… but I decided to go for it anyways because I have no conscience 😌
The vision was executed in a few days since I was so excited to see how it would turn out. I drew inspo from the songs, but also the concert stage designs for the different performances. This is an extra memorable piece that represents my first concert experiences with Seventeen SO YEAH 💖 Really proud of how this one turned out!!
