This event holds a very special place in my heart. My brother lives with type 1 diabetes, and over the years our family has seen firsthand the strength, resilience, and determination that comes with navigating this disease every single day.
This year, our family and friends will once again be walking together as a team in support of my brother and the millions of people living with T1D. We walk with hope, gratitude, and a shared belief that one day there will be a cure.
I’m honoured to be saying a few short words at the start of the walk and to be performing my new song, The Goal with to close. This song will be dedicated to my brother as well as the entire T1D community and the collective goal we all share: finding a cure.
The Breakthrough T1D Walk is Canada’s largest fundraising event supporting those living with type 1 diabetes, bringing together thousands of families, friends, supporters, and individuals living with T1D to help accelerate breakthroughs and move us closer to a cure. Whether you live with T1D, love someone who does, or simply want to support this incredible cause, I would love to see you there. Join me, my family, and hundreds of others as we stand up, step forward, and walk toward the future.

It was an honour to again be part of the 2nd annual Mikey’s Run and open the event with our anthem as well as my new song The Goal. While the kilometres matter, the message behind them matters even more.
Mikey’s Run is helping spark important conversations around men’s mental health and reminding people that strength isn’t found in silence. It’s found in speaking up, asking for help, supporting one another, and showing up even when it’s hard.
Every step taken today represented something bigger: awareness, hope, connection, and the commitment to keep moving forward together.
So let’s keep doing whatever it takes to break the stigma, check in on our friends, and create space for honest conversations.
