This gallery is from a super intimate destination wedding in London for Desiré & Alberto, an Italian couple passionate about British 1990s culture, Britpop, festivals and Oasis. 🇬🇧 In their case, we weaved in gentle nods to the colours of Britain - blue, red and white - throughout the decor and florals, with more obvious touches like a Mini Cooper car. We intentionally looked for a venue that felt quintessentially British (which landed us in the blue room of ), and brought in a great musician that knew how to play British 90s classics brilliantly.

We feel a huge amount of pressure at the moment to deliver weddings that constantly measure up to high expectations, that leave people wondering if that’s real or AI, that will make the big blogs want to feature us…
But who’s truly benefiting from it other than ourselves when that’s not what the couple asked for?
The truth is, as planners whose mantra is “effortless, essentialist design is the passport to a meaningful and intentional wedding,” we hate the visual noise that is surrounding us and that is constantly sidetracking couples, making them believe that the success of their wedding is measured by number of views, likes and features.
I almost went back and tweaked a concept we’re delivering tomorrow, and then forced myself to revisit our mantra and remind ourselves whom that concept is for - a couple I love, who hasn’t asked me for any never-seen-before design… Just a design that is TRULY them.

I’ve gotten the pleasure of knowing these two over the past several years. And each time I’ve spent time with them, I’m glad to have learned more. From our time in SF City Hall, to their wedding in Italy, to a recent wedding where they were guests, I have been so glad to have seen them.
They chose this venue, and invited their friends and family to spend the weekend there. The day before and morning of, people swam in the salty sea while the wedding was setting up. At any point guests could walk over and take a dip.
