Made of beautiful quality mid-Alder, it not only offers stunning views, but also a stunning interior that glows, reflecting the light of sunrises and sunsets 🔥
is bookable for 6 individual seats. If you wish to book the whole sauna, please book all 6 seats and feel welcome to bring an extra person, as the sauna technically seats 7. Though we limit bookings to 6, so that all our guests have plenty of personal space.

The article was based on a visit with back on a freezing day the previous March.
Back then they were both known collectively for their highly successful series of wild swim books and beach saunas were a new concept in Scotland.
Back then, as far as sauna owner-operators, in Scotland, go, there wasn’t much about, only Kirsty in Portobello and myself, here, in Elie, and that was it!
I remember pushing Vicky, who it took from March 2023, to October 2023 to actually publish the article, as she felt it was too early to write about and the whole movement hadn’t taken off yet.
By the time that Vicky did finally publish the article in Haar Sauna, which had been the first mobile, public sauna on the Aberdeen sea front, over the winter of 2021/22 until its owners leased it out, to various different places and moved to Norway, had come back under owner-operation and established itself in its now long-term home, on Shetland. So, there were, now 3 seaside saunas that could write about.
I see some of the early articles about sauna as iconic, ‘I Call It Sauna Head’ in back in June 2022, sent us all in the sauna movement into a spin, to see sauna mentioned in the mainstream press. Vicky Allan’s October 2023 article was one of those iconic articles.
At that point there might just have been 3 of us to write about, but the article had a big impact and got the concept of an outdoor sauna into people’s brains.
One thing that amazed me is how quickly, between that article being published and me opening the large shared sauna in February 2024, the concept of going to a beach to have a sauna became normalised. A few months later, in June 2024, I was speaking at the first ever Sauna Summit 🔥
So, after all that time, nearly 3 years, since her first visit to her first ever Scottish seaside sauna, it was great to welcome back to and show her 🔥

‘The Ballers’ have been going for 4 years, now and have been visiting for 3 of those years ❤️🔥
Since they first visited, in February 2023, many more saunas have opened in Scotland and the BBs can be spotted regularly however, it is always a joy to see their names on our booking sheet 💙💙
The guys have recently launched The Blueballs Annual. The Annual is unusual in that it features men’s stories, something that most of us don’t get the opportunity to read.
I have ‘known’ many of these men for 3 years, however, I don’t ‘know’ their back stories. I have only sat in a sauna and sauna’ed with a couple of them on a few of occasions. However, reading some of the stories, in the annual, you get beneath the surface of each of those profiled and understand what being a part of such a supportive group means to each and every one of them in their own particular way.
On this occasion, ‘the guys’ road tested new range of sauna hats, made for us, to commission by skilled, Fife-based felter from wool from sheep that graze a couple of miles from our St. Andrews sauna 🔥
