Non perché non mi impegnassi abbastanza, ma perché la mia struttura fisica, la mia genetica, la mia conformazione sono diverse.
E credo che la vera svolta sia arrivata proprio quando ho smesso di combattere contro ciò che sono.
Quando ho capito che continuavo a rincorrere un corpo lontanissimo dalla mia natura, pretendendo da me stessa qualcosa che il mio fisico non sarebbe mai potuto diventare.
Così ho iniziato a fare sport, e lì qualcosa è cambiato davvero.
Ho smesso di vedere il mio corpo per quello che non riusciva a essere, e ho iniziato a vedere tutto ciò che poteva diventare.
Forse non avrò mai un fisico esile, ma posso avere un fisico forte.
E imparare a valorizzare il corpo che ho davvero, invece di inseguirne uno impossibile per me, mi ha ridato una serenità che non avevo mai provato prima.
Ed è lì che ho capito cosa significhi davvero accettarsi.
Non è sbagliato avere obiettivi. È sbagliato avere obiettivi irrealistici, costruiti su un corpo che non è il tuo.
Il corpo è solo un corpo.
È solo un involucro.
Però… è bello potersi sentire a casa dentro quell’involucro.
Otto anni dopo, tutto è cambiato… eppure, in qualche modo, tutto è rimasto esattamente uguale.
Modena è stata la città in cui ho trovato la mia voce: suonavamo e cantavamo per le strade fino alle quattro del mattino, tra angoscia e un pò di vino.
Ci sono dei legami che sono destinati a vivere nel tempo, delle persone che rappresenteranno per sempre casa. E non importa quanto saremo lontani, per me voi sarete sempre la mia casa.

Io non immaginavo che la vita potesse suonare così.
Un tempo la serenità era un’emozione di cui non conoscevo l’esistenza. Nella testa avevo una voce costante che mi sminuiva e non faceva mai silenzio. Il senso di vuoto era una sensazione che provavo costantemente, l’alcol era il mio migliore amico, il cibo (che usavo come riempimento emotivo) portava alle abbuffate, e le abbuffate mi facevano odiare sempre di più il mio corpo. Attacchi di panico da abbandono, autolesionism0, attacchi di rabbia, relazioni instabili, rimuginino, impulsività.. le mie emozioni sono sempre state fuori controllo. Per questo motivo, io mai avrei pensato che si potesse arrivare ad avere questa qualità di vita. Io non pensavo neanche fosse possibile, perchè per me quel dolore è sempre stato la normalità.
Ed invece: eccomi qui. In recovery… finalmente. Non rientro più nei criteri diagnostici del disturbo borderline. Vaffancul0.
