🗡 Questa sera alle 20.00 seconda replica di Otello. Nonostante la compresenza di tre ruoli tenorili importanti nello stesso spettacolo, in questa produzione (Otello), (Jago) e (Rodrigo), è una donna a fare la parte del leone nell’Otello rossiniano, in questo caso (Desdemona).
Fu Isabella Colbran a vestirne i panni per la prima volta che con la sua interpretazione appassionata contribuì al successo dell’opera. Desdemona è infatti centrale nell’Otello di Rossini, figura contemporanea e al passo con i tempi.
La sfortunata eroina romantica ante litteram rossiniana, interpretata tra le altre da celebri cantanti quali Giuditta Pasta, Maria Malibran, Teresa Stoltz, influenzò anche le arti figurative, come si evince dal quadro Desdemona implorante ai piedi del padre di Delacroix.
