Il progetto fotografico “Cronache d’acqua - Immagini dal Sud Italia”, commissionato dalle Gallerie d’Italia di Intesa Sanpaolo nasce come evoluzione del precedente lavoro dedicato al Nord Italia (2023).
Questa nuova edizione prevede la partecipazione di altri quattro fotografi (,, e ), ognuno con una visione e un approccio distintivo alla narrazione visiva, con l’obiettivo di raccontare dieci storie legate al ciclo dell’acqua, al suo approvvigionamento e alla sua scarsità, sul territorio di prossimità.

Sull’isola dal profilo di una Sirena, ogni giorno, nella lunga estate mediterranea, una marea umana di 40mila persone gravita fagocitante circolando in una costante e quotidiana bulimica corsa turistica. Le navi, più di ogni ora vomitano a terra avventori giornalieri che divoreranno spiagge, funicolari, granite al limone, panini e gelati alla
Caprese di tutti i prezzi, souvenir di plastica, visite guidate brevi e lunghe utili o meno utili, barchette nelle ingolfate calette, meati azzurri e non, acquisti (come tutto) da instagrammare nei negozi luccicanti nelle strade della dolcevita, tutto per l’impalpabile illusione di aver messo piede anche solo per tre ore nella superba e magnificente
Isola Blu.
Questo è il racconto fotografico di un’obesità sociale che gonfia e poi consuma le risorse di un luogo esteticamente e naturalisticamente sacro, sfiancato dal peso dell’iperturismo.
Una scena memorabile, ma senza spazi liberi per guardare.
Resta, alla fine, la speranza della salvezza nello sguardo di un ragazzino rivolto alle onde sulla rena.
