Whenever l had a photo shoot for Çırağan Palace, I was arriving before sunrise drawn by the quiet grace that precedes the day. In those still moments, the Palace seemed to hold her breath, marble glowing softly under the first light over the Bosphorus. Even happen to see dolphins passing by.. I would search for the perfect frame and spot but more often I found myself simply watching.. as the city stirred awake, elegant and eternal, revealing her beauty only to those patient enough to greet the dawn.

Canan bir bavul ile geldi ve biz gün doğumunda Eminönü sahilden başlayıp, tam da benim aklımdaki gibi ve Canan’ımın da keyif aldığı bir çekim yaptık. O kadar uyumluyuz ki!! Ben kamera ayarı yaparken Canan hop açıyor bavulu giyiyor üzerine bir ceket takıyor hemen kendi şapkalarından madalyonlarından bambaşka bir stil! “Canan şu merdivenden çıkıp çay ocağının taburesine otur musun?” diyorum o gidip bir de çaycı çocukları giydiriyor! Her şey spontan ve plansız akıyor ve biz saat 11:00’de tüm video ve fotoğraf çekimimizi bitirmiş uçarak Petra Gayrettepe’mize ışınlanmış kahvelerimizi içiyorduk! Ben işten eve gidip retouch ve edit yapmak için sabırsızlanıyordum! Sonunda da işte bu kareler ve video çıktı.. Benden ona armağan, kendim için ise büyük şans!

Petra Gayrettepe’ye giriyorum, masanda oturmuş işaret parmaklarınla vura vura klavyede yazı yazıyorsun, beni görünce kollar açık ayağa fırlıyorsun ve “Eedaaağğ”. Kucaklaşıyoruz sanki çok uzundur görmemişizcesine birbirimizi. Yanına bir tabure çekiyorum, hemen başlıyoruz; önce işler güçler sonra aileler ordan aksesuarlar, perdeler, kıyafetler, dertler ve her şeye rağmen senin koca kahkahan eşliğinde gülüşmeler.. Önümüzdeki günlere hemen bir Eminönü programı, hadi gel bir kahve içelim ikramlamaları derken, paydos!

Uzun yıllar önce diyerek başlayabilecek kadar eskiye dayandırmışız önce tanışıklığımızı sonra dostluğumuzu. Umarım benim de saçlarım tam da seninki gibi beyazlar dediğim günü hatırlarım ve tıpkı seninki gibi beyazladığı için de pek mutlu olurum. Giydiği her kıyafete, taktığı her aksesuara bir insan bu kadar yakışabilir, yolda geçerken yanındakine bile ilham olabilir..
