Diyangの自在で素晴らしい演奏はもちろん、その人柄も印象的。
リハーサルから充実した数日間でした！
帰りは偶然にもイスタンブールまで同じフライト✈️
日本でたくさん乾杯して食べて出発し、イスタンブールでトルココーヒーを飲んでお別れしました。
この日も到着後、そのままベルリンフィルのリハーサルというハードスケジュール🤯にも関わらず、日本まで来てくれて感謝🙏
またご一緒できますように！

It was a great honor to welcome Diyang Mei, Principal Violist of the Berlin Philharmonic, for this special concert.🎻
As the performance took place in a Noh theatre, we also had a unique collaboration between Noh performer Haruhisa Kawamura and Diyang.
Not only is Diyang an extraordinary musician with incredible versatility, but his warm personality also left a lasting impression on all of us. The rehearsals and performances made for a truly memorable few days.
By coincidence, we were even on the same flight to Istanbul after the concert.✈️
After sharing many meals and drinks together in Japan, we shared a Turkish coffee during our layover in Istanbul before parting ways.
Despite his demanding schedule, which included heading straight to a Berlin Philharmonic rehearsal upon arrival🤯, he still made the trip to Japan to perform with us. I’m truly grateful.
I hope we can perform together again someday.🙏

I’m deeply honoured to perform in Tokyo with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Jukka-Pekka Saraste on 14 October this year.
I will perform Sibelius’s Violin Concerto with this wonderful orchestra, which has a deep connection to Sibelius.
I’m sure it will be one of the most unforgettable performances of my life.
