Personally we sprinted up to the highest view point and took photos before we became totally engulfed in clouds!!! We were laughing our heads off and couldn’t believe how in an instant it was a total white out.

The South Dakota weather started us off running around in the 60s, and then spending the last couple of days around 4-6 degrees. 🥶 Spearfish is known for its insane weather changes and we sure felt it! It went from green trees to ice in a blink of an eye.

There is so much to do in Iceland, so here’s a little list of my favorites so you don’t have to feel overwhelmed with planning! (follow for more travel tips and inspiration)
✨Fly into Keflavik and immediately go soak at the Blue Lagoon! This hot spring is ICONIC. Another great and quieter hot spring is Hvammsvik.
✨ Drive the golden circle to Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss, and Gljúfrabúi (hidden just past Seljalandfoss.)
✨Stay in Vik to see puffins and the beautiful Reynisfjara Beach aka the black sand beach. Please for your safety don’t get close to the water, and don’t enter the beach if the sign is saying danger!
✨Continue on to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and don’t miss Diamond Beach just south of the lagoon.
✨Hike Fjaðrárgljúfur also known as the canyon Justin Bieber ran around in one of his music videos.
Leave no trace as you visit these places! Almost every parking lot costs to park, and be aware and kind to others!
Iceland can be expensive, but we went with a group and were able to save money by making our meals at the Airbnbs, eating at hot dog stands hahahahaha, and staying at a little older places together as a group.

How about you?
I’m not setting goals or starting over this year. I’m grateful to feel content and like 2025 really allowed me to grow. I am so proud of how I grew my business this year, crossed off bucketlist items, and got in so much movement. I had some ups and some major downs, but overall I got back to myself, and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings!

🚮 ALWAYS throw your trash in the bins and never on the ground! Use the restroom facilities at the park.

🗺️ Timed park pass needed to do this anytime between 7am-4pm (sunset good to go!)
✨ Get yourself an America the Beautiful pass to enter!
🩵 Leave no trace! Pick up any trash you may see here. It’s a busy hike so be kind to others. Take only photos, leave only footprints.
I’ve done this hike a couple times now and absolutely love it. I think it is so so so beautiful!!!! I have however never accurately portrayed this hike to the people who accompany me. I just remembered it being short and quick but not everyone thinks a 3 mile hike is short and quick. So, anyway, I’ll never describe this as a quick hike ever again!!! 😂🙌🏼 Thanks everyone who’s been forced to hike with me I’m so sorry for anything I’ve caused hahahaaha.
