Silver bullet

Presenting the Ferrari Enzo, this time in silver. With my Naked Color style, black paint takes a lot more consideration because the direct lighting gets eaten up by it. I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to capture the Enzo in color that’s much more friendly to my lighting.

Apologies to those expecting more frequent posts, my IG activity has slowed this year due to a very heavy work schedule and the book production. I have watched the engagement & followers dive as a result, probably due to this and IG’s focus on Reels not photography. Maybe there are other platforms out there better for photography, any thoughts/recommendations?

A huge thank you to the for allowing me shoot the Enzo at their museum, thank you for supplying the model.

Miami Run

Presenting the Ferrari 512TR, a heavily re-engineered update of the Testarossa. While it appears very similar to the previous model, the 512TR offered a stiffer chassis, bigger wheels, lowered and upgraded engine, better weight distribution, improved interior and a light styling refresh to align it with the 348 of the time. Pretty much a whole new car.

I’ve been eyeing this car for almost as long as I’ve been shooting with the Marconi Museum, finally got the chance to not only shoot it, but get a ride in it towards the end of last year. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Testarossa, but this thing is just that much better. The looks have endured time very well, I wasn’t sure about that front grill when it came out.

A huge thanks to and the for allowing me near their gorgeous TR, hoping that they one day feel the need to donate this or the 550 Maranello to my photography cause. Set up to help the slow traveling photographer in need of more rapid and stylish means of transport, all for the good of my ego and internal satisfaction. Give now.

Test drive

Presenting the 1957 Maserati 200SI by Fantuzzi, one of 28 created to replace the then-aging A6GCS racing cars. The SI was an improvement over the 200S featuring a full-width windscreen and two functional doors as well as a number of mechanical updates.

This particular car is one of the few that retains its numbers-matching chassis and engine. It also comes with some great racing history too. Multiple class victories between 1956-57 driven by John Fitch, was even loaned to Dan Gurney for the 1960 Cuban Gran Prix.

What I like most about this car is the current owner, had bought this at an auction in Pebble Beach, then drove it down to San Diego that same weekend. That’s 445 miles in an open-top 1950’s racing car, what better way o acclimatize oneself with their new toy.

A huge thanks to for letting me near this thing of beauty.

Joy Ridden

Presenting the 1999 Vector M12 chassis 014 which is infamous for a final employee joyride that unfolded in 1999. Just before after Vector ceased operations; an employee took the barely driven car (showing only around 800 miles) and unfortunately wrecked. The car was repaired with a new front end (also seen on the incomplete 016 car) and remains today a 25-year-dormant barn find.

This M12 is one of three examples we sourced from, son of Vector’s final owner, Randy Welty, who unknowingly became the steward of some of the last surviving pieces of Vector’s story. M12 production came to a halt in November 1996, however, in August 1997, Randy Welty and Timothy Enright gained control of the company, attempting to revive the marque through new models, racing plans, and structural reorganization while still relying on Lamborghini engines.

The new ownership efforts prolonged Vector’s life by several years, but when Lamborghini’s supply ceased and funding dried up, production ended in 1999. In a short matter of time, Welty, Enright and the new vector company sold M12s, turning a small profit, resulting in a new logo designed to represent the American spirit.

A huge thanks to for finding these cars, for letting me shoot them and for all the help.

Condensation Compensation

Presenting the 1996 Vector M12 chassis 003, formerly the personal car of Vector’s final owner, Randy Welty. 003 was scarcely photographed and exhibited publicly only twice, first at the 1996 Mexico City Auto Show and later at a minor league baseball game outside Jacksonville, where Welty famously drove it onto the warning track during the seventh-inning stretch and launched t-shirts into the stands.

003 was one of three M12s re-discovered by in 2025 inside inside a hidden collection preserved by Randy’s son Jake Welty for decades until liberated all five surviving Vectors. The M12 model was designed by Peter Stevens, re-engineered by Jim Router and Jerry Booen, and homologated with Ian Doble’s efforts. Gerald Wiegert was eventually ousted by Vector, and a new owner named Megatech moved operations to Florida and pushed the M12 into production with Lamborghini supplying V12 engines.

By 1996, the company began to experience financial pressure resulting in only a small number of cars built, and operations ceased by November that year. By August 1997 W.R. (Randy) Welty and Timothy J. Enright regained control of Vector, reopening the Florida factory and restarting M12 production despite severe financial and engineering setbacks. Complicating matters further, Lamborghini was sold to Audi in 1998, severing the relationship. The revival efforts kept Vector alive for several more years before production ended in 1999.

A huge thanks to for finding the cars and supplying the above information, for letting me near it, and for dragging these beasts around for the capture. This was probably my least successful shoot in the Naked Color series so far, we battled a severe case of condensation and other challenges during the shoot. If the car wasn’t so special, I would have never shown these images.

Last call

Presenting the Vector SRV8, the very last Vector. The SRV8 represents a moment when ambition outweighed convention—carbon fiber construction, aerospace-inspired design, and unapologetic American engineering. Powered by a GM 5.7L LT1 Corvette V8 producing roughly 350 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual, the SRV8 was claimed to run 0–60 mph in the low-3-second range and reach 200+ mph—numbers that felt almost fictional at the time.

Built from leftover M12 pieces when the company’s engine plans fell apart, it wore a new badge, exposed headlights, and a few controversial tweaks while still talking big on performance, including claims of low-3-second 0 to 60 and 200-plus mph. Not long after, Vector shut its doors in 1999, leaving the SRV8 as a preserved what-if in American supercar history.

Big thanks to for letting me near it, for the help as always, and for for finding the treasure!

Number 9

Presenting the 1997 Vector M12, chassis 009, 9th of 17 built. This is one of three ‘lost’ M12s from a recent re-discovery by. Currently in the hands of, the car is the only one in this color and not seen publicly since 1997.

Peter Stevens penned the designed, taking the WX-3 into a production ready state. The M12 uses a Lamborghini chassis and V12, shedding its American V8 turbo from the previous version.

Stay tuned for the other two cars and the special SRV8 race car, a huge thanks to for letting me near it and for the help as always.

Coppa d’Oro

Presenting the Maserati A6GCS/53 Frua Spider, a car that has been sweeping up concours awards around the world since its last refresh. One of three built with only two in existence, this particular design is said to be Frua’s greatest contribution to the art of coach building, one of the most beautiful 1950’s sports cars.

The owner, Jonathan Segal, painstakingly brought the car to a spectacular level of finish using his other two A6G coupes as reference. One was the famous intact Baillon barn find Frua coupe, now receiving the Segal perfection treatment bringing that back in all its original detail. The other is his gorgeous red Zagato A6G, both of which I’ve photographed.

Powered by a 2.0l inline-6 twin spark plug DOHC engine fed by three Weber 40’s (refined by Gioacchino Colombo of Ferrari V-12 fame) producing 170bhp at 7,300rpm made it a very exciting car for the time. A huge thanks to Jonathan Segal for letting me close to this very special car, was amazing to watch it go from parts to awards.

Otto Vu

Presenting the 1953 Siata 208 CS Balbo Coupe. The 208 series was Siata’s second offering with only 18 built, 11 with Carrozzeria Balbo bodies, 6 in coupe form. This car was recently and perfectly restore receiving a Best In Class win and Most Elegant Sports Car award at the 2025 Pebble Beach Concours.

The engine is a tuned version of a 2.0l V8 producing around 125bhp derived from the Fiat “Otto Vu” engine that the company hoped would win over US customers. The car failed but Fiat saw the potential in the engine and sold Siata 50 units to use in their designs. The engine was mounted to a 5 speed gearbox and placed in the the tubular chassis supporting the aluminum body for this beautiful post-war car.

A huge thanks to Jonathan Segal for letting me close to this precious thing, stunning in person. Intoxicating treatment of that fastback, a gorgeous form. Steve McQueen had a Spider version of the 208 he nicknamed his ‘little Ferrari’.

Orange peel-pout

Presenting the Gumpert Apollo, an uncompromising ready-to-race street legal supercar. Roland Gumpert was the chief engineer for Audi Motorsport in the 80’s (during the winning WRC years). Working with Audi, they agreed to collaborate at an arms-length with him to create the new supercar.

The highlight of that collaboration is the then-new 4.2l twin-turbo V8 from the C5 gen RS6. He teamed up with the University of Munich with production processes, simulations and aero testing. The end result is an 800hp car (in top tune) that achieves the 0-60 in 3 seconds and tops out at 224mph, with it setting the production car lap record at the Ring in 2009 (7:11:57) with no A/C.

Currently on display at the Marconi Museum, get down there and see this rare masterpiece for yourself! A huge thanks to Vince and the team down there, thank you Devin at for letting me shoot it.
