Commencement speaker James “Jim” Neary ’80 (uncle of Billy Neary ’26) returned to the Hill to reflect on his time at Eaglebrook and the lasting impact the school had on his life. He shared how those experiences helped shape the man he is today.
Ryan K. ’26 delivered the Sixth Form address, Marcus F. ’26 led the Class Prayer, and Danny C. ’26 performed a lively Piano piece. It was a beautiful day as students, families, friends, and faculty came together to celebrate the Class of 2026.

Yesterday, dorm teams went head-to-head in the All-School Tug of War. Nothing beats some friendly competition and plenty of laughs.
Earlier in the week, students participating in the Hilltop Ramble were up at sunrise to run or walk the wooded trails to Hilltop Farm. It was an early start, but a great way to begin the day.

One of Eaglebrook’s most beloved traditions, the Goodfellow Ceremony begins with the Sixth Form gathering in a circle on Gates Quad as the whole school surrounds them. Before the ceremony, the class votes to select the Goodfellow — a classmate who best represents the spirit of Eaglebrook and is a friend to all.
As anticipation builds, the Head of School jogs around the circle before tapping the chosen student on the shoulder to reveal the selection. What follows is a joyful chase of the Goodfellow around campus, ending with a celebratory toss into Whipple Pond. Splash! 🏊♂️💦

On Sunday, the community gathered at the historic Brick Church in Old Deerfield for the annual Eaglebrook Baccalaureate service, a longstanding tradition that honors the Sixth Form class before they move on from Eaglebrook. The service featured a heartfelt address from Dr. Paul Cyr-Mutty and a reading by Ms. Jennie McAvoy, two beloved faculty members who will be retiring this year, making the occasion especially meaningful for all.
The celebration continued with Field Day, as dorms came together on Lewis Track and Field for an afternoon of games, teamwork, and spirited competition. From start to finish, the day was filled with energy, laughter, and the kind of camaraderie that makes this community so special!

Global Day is an annual Eaglebrook tradition that encourages students to build a stronger connection with the natural world through leadership, service, and outdoor exploration. Throughout the day, each form participated in activities designed to teach the importance of caring for our environment and being thoughtful stewards of the Earth—from marine science research and river cleanups to team-building challenges, outdoor adventures, and hands-on service projects.
The day concluded with a Hilly Chase presentation from the Pool Nature Center of the Vermont Museum of Natural History and our very own Eaglebrook Trashion Show!
