Bronco had his oncology follow up last week.
He was going every other month & we recently switch to every month.
He gets x rays, ultrasounds & blood tests. And of course a 🍑 exam since that’s where his cancer was.
When Bronco had his surgery, his mitotic index came back high. If I’m being honest I didn’t really set “expectations”, I just kind of learned that we have to take it day by day & try not to stress.
His visit last weekend wasn’t necessarily terrible.
* He has an interesting shadow on his chest x rays on/near his heart. They suspect it’s overlapping tissue. Hopefully.
* His pancreatic enzymes are a little high, though he’s not showing signs of pancreatitis. THANK GOODNESS.
* His triglycerides are pretty elevated.
* He has eosinophilia
* He has some hot spots on his thighs/belly
I suspect he may just be battling inflammation, but I’m unsure. I’m trying to find a low fat diet, that he’ll actually eat. I’m trying to stick to one protein to see if his hot spots get worse/go away, but he likes different food every week 😆
I’m learning a lot & I’m so grateful for all that he’s taught me.
March will be one year since we found out he had cancer. We’re hoping to take him to visit all the National Parks here in Utah & possibly visit some state parks.
