After a rainy morning in Bavaria, the clouds slowly began to open then came the rainbow and for a moment, sunlight spilled across the mountains.
We spent the afternoon wandering around Hintersee, admiring the crystal clear water. The entire lake felt straight out of a fairytale. 🤍

Its steep cliffs and panoramic views are honestly hard to put into words, and being there really makes you feel small in the best way. 🥹 I love the feeling of being surrounded by something so much bigger than myself. Seceda is one of those places you really have to experience in person because photos never fully capture it.
We were here in October, right at the end of the season and I don't regret it because the Dolomites in fall time is unreal. 🤎

The first time we went to Seceda in the Dolomites, we spent over $220 getting up the mountain… for absolutely nothing.
Visibility: 0. 🥲 Within an hour, autumn colors turned into a snowstorm. The entire landscape disappeared into white.
That’s the thing about the Dolomites. You can make the most detailed itinerary, save every viewpoint, do your research, but the mountains decide what kind of day you’ll get.
And sometimes, they humble you fast. Most people would probably move on to the next location after a failed attempt. But we couldn’t stop thinking about this place, so we came back again.
& This time, the mountains finally let us see them. 🥹⛰️
And standing there with Duffy, watching the majestic peaks in all it’s glory, felt even more special because of how hard it was to get there in the first place.
Some places like the Dolomites teach you patience is part of the experience and you earn the view a little. 🤍
⛰️Dolomites tips if you’re planning a trip: ☑️ Go early morning for quieter views + softer light ☑️ Rent a car- the road trip itself feels unreal ☑️ Stay at least 4–5 days because weather changes FAST ☑️ Always check the weather again the morning you head out
