In my book I recommend an 'intervention' programme for sensitive skin, which is all about stripping right back for 6 weeks, using only a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser and a sunscreen. Actives such as vitamin C and (gentle) leave-on exfoliants are then added from weeks 7 to 12 once the skin barrier has had a chance to recover.
