While in the lab this weekend, one of the participants raised a question about the practical difference between SMAS surgery and a deep plane facelift—does a deep plane lift actually allow the tissue to move more? So we tested it! He performed a plication on one side, and I performed a deep plane on the other.
The difference in soft tissue mobility and the degree to which we could “lift” the face spoke for itself.
There’s no substitute for seeing (and feeling) these anatomical differences firsthand.

I performed a deep plane facelift, structural deep neck lift, temporal brow lift, Buccal fat reduction, earlobe reduction and CO2 laser resurfacing. The result is a beautiful facial rejuvenation that accomplished exactly what both of us wanted: made her look like the best version of herself!
Because the deep plane facelift allows for such acre, structural repositioning of the fallen soft tissue, we are able to create an immense amount of lift without any visible or detectable signs of surgery.
