Yes! We have specific hip muscles that connect to and influence the way the pelvic floor muscles work.
Which is why we often see hip pain/injuries and pelvic floor dysfunction at the same time.
Evidence suggests we may also see improvements in pelvic floor symptoms with hip strengthening and mobility.

Recommended to help with baby positioning, the forward leaning inversion can also help with:
🌟back pain
🌟tailbone pain
🌟hip pain
🌟bladder urgency/frequency
🌟breech or transverse babies
I started doing this in my 2nd trimester last pregnancy (baby #1) and will continue doing it throughout the rest of this one (baby #2)!
Was this the only reason I had a quick and uncomplicated labor and delivery? Probably not.
But I do think it contributed to baby being in such a good position and having literally zero back/pelvis pain my last pregnancy.
If you’re currently pregnant, give it a try and let me know how it goes!
Who else did the forward leaning inversion throughout pregnancy? 🙋♀️

Rookie mistake.
So I had to carry my 15+ lb tank of a baby the entire time.
Was it a workout? Absolutely!
But was I in pain while doing it? Not one bit! 😁
It wasn’t always like that though!!
I remember helping take care of my nieces when I was in college and having terrible back pain by the end of the day. After a few days, it would be so bad, I could hardly lift a baby anymore.😖
So, Not going to lie, I was a little worried about having my own baby because I knew how much repetitive stress on the body it can be and how painful things could get.
Luckily, I have a lot more knowledge now than I did back then and now, I rarely experience pain.
How is that possible??
Well, I’m smarter with my body than ever before and I use my muscles efficiently to reduce unnecessary strain.
So for carrying, here are some of my go-to tips and positions for holding my baby!
Notice that I don’t utilize a “baby on the hip position” in any of these videos. 😉
Save this for later in case you forget your stroller or just want to carry your baby without back pain. 🙋♀️
And if you’re tired of dealing with this and just want to ENJOY activities with your kids without worry, let’s chat!
