Healing varies between individuals and is influenced by tissue structure, lifestyle, spinal alignment, and the natural aging process.
This patient previously underwent two L5–S1 surgeries and one TLIF at L4–5, performed at another facility. When his symptoms returned, we carefully assessed the situation and performed a revision surgery tailored to his current condition.
Recurrent disc herniation or adjacent segment issues are uncommon, occurring in about 4–5% of patients worldwide. When they do occur, selecting the most appropriate treatment approach becomes crucial.
Surgery is not an absolute guarantee, but rather a step toward improving quality of life through the safest and most suitable method.
Our goal remains the same: to reduce pain, restore mobility, and help patients return to their daily life.
