With this upper and lower reconstruction, the patient didn’t want “perfect” teeth, but wanted more youthful, brighter teeth. Overall, he liked the shapes of his existing teeth, so we kept the “character” of his original smile with its misalignments and asymmetries, creating what I think is a very authentic outcome that is perfectly imperfect. Other natural characteristics like surface texture, translucency, shade gradient, and hypocalcification (white spots) were used to enhance the natural appearance of the restorations.
