Miles apart most of the time, but forever close. Friendships forged through drunken nights, shared humour, spontaneous plans and travelling the world together — where no time ever passes. So grateful to celebrate this moment with you all 🥂✨
One of the happiest, most magical moments of my life.
But the story I want to share actually happened a couple of weeks earlier — the night before our UK registrar wedding — and I think it’s important to keep it real.
What was meant to be a small, simple legal wedding somehow turned into a much bigger “do”. Totally self inflicted on myself as I wanted to make it into a mini wedding for those who couldn’t attend the Italian wedding and break the ice between my divorced parents (which I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t severely anxious the would be sharing an extended period of time together in a small space)
I was also working far too much, taking on everything myself, and putting enormous pressure on myself to make it perfect.
The night before, I burst into tears.
The house wasn’t tidy.
Not everything was cooked or organisedand to top it off My hair and makeup unfortunately got cancelled on the day. Oh and in true Amy style I was going to work
And in that moment, I genuinely felt like I had failed.
Failed at hosting.
Failed at coping.
Failed at holding everything together.
My husband was incredible. He reassured me, grounded me, and reminded me what actually mattered 🤍
But it taught me something important — when you push yourself to the limit, when you try to do everything, burnout doesn’t always show up loudly.
Sometimes it shows up quietly… as tears the night before a day that’s meant to be joyful.
So if you’re reading this feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or like you’re not coping — you’re not weak.
You’re human.
And life doesn’t need perfection to be beautiful 🤍
I started in this clinic not really knowing what would come of it. With big dreams, not as much confidence as I have now and it might sound cheesy but a dream of a busy clinic. This clinic was my home for the biggest leaps, learning curves, my longest days, little wins, and the growth happening that I couldn’t yet see while I was in it.
And it’s reminded me, that’s the thing about growth, when you’re going through it, sometimes it can feel like you’re stuck or never doing enough. And then suddenly as if overnight you’re living in a daily routine the old you dreamed of!
And now further from that… I’ve outgrown the space!!!
What was scary and uncertain a few years ago has turned into something solid, expansive, and ready for more 🥹🥹🥹
Endings are rarely just endings.
They’re proof that you kept going long enough for the next chapter to require more space.
In this instance, BUILT IN TRAINING SPACE 🤩🤩🤩
I’m writing this because I’m emotional leaving the clinic but also as a reminder, if you’re in the messy middle, unsure if it’s worth it, keep going!! One day you’ll look back at the door you once opened with doubt… and close it with gratitude 🙏❤️
Being named an Aesthetic Awards 2026 finalist, in a results-based category, feels incredibly special. Not because of the title but because it’s coming at a really full circle moment as I move into my new clinic and start 2026.
I may have come a long way since those early days, but the gratitude, passion and pinch-me moments are still exactly the same 🤍
