This is the advanced version, slowed down to 90 percent speed (so I think 162 bpm). I decided to post it like this, with all the mistakes, to show the struggle to get to this point.
It’s hard work, but these routines have kept me company over the years, I began to love and have fun doing the rudiments (except for the flam paradiddles, which I hate!).
I've never really used them to warm up before playing the drums; instead, I started working on them to learn the basics and improve my technique.
Despite the inaccuracies, I'm satisfied with the technique I've acquired thanks to these exercises. The advantage you gain on the drums is incalculable, a couple of years ago the six-stroke roll on Clapton's Cocaine seemed impossible! But you have to be patient, speed and precision come with time.
I don't know if I'll be able to push it to the proper tempo in the next few months... We'll see. Anyway, for now this is a milestone for me.
Of course, I must be thankful to Tommy Igoe: I feel that without this course I wouldn't be here and I would have missed a really fun ride!
