С того дня мы вместе, хоть и не всегда физически рядом, позади череда самых разных периодов совместной жизни, но попробовать сформулировать какой-то важный итог можно.
В отношениях мы ищем две разные и, как будто бы, противоречащие друг другу вещи. С одной стороны единомышленника, с которым можно говорить на одном языке, разделяя общие интересы и взгляды, а с другой – того, кто обладает и привлекает нас теми качествами, знаниями или чертами, которых в нас нет.
И если со схожестью взглядов всё понятно, то зона соприкосновения двух полярностей неизбежно создаёт пространство для конфликта. И выход из него находится не в старательных попытках во что бы то ни стало обосновать свою правоту или защититься в ответ, и не в объёме терпения, как может показаться на первый взгляд.
Примирить эти полярности, как оказалось, помогают готовность вместе искать решение, внимание не только к самому конфликту, но и к его причинам, а также внимание к тому, что происходит с каждым в этот момент и какие зоны уязвимости он задевает.
На словах это, конечно, звучит куда проще, чем на деле и я не могу сказать, что мы с Варей научились безболезненно это делать и неизменно об этом помним. Но если такая интенция есть и за ней стоит обоюдная работа, то она может помочь проходить через самые сложные этапы совместной жизни.

Честно говоря, поначалу стеснялся такое выкладывать, а спустя какое-то время включил, не обнаружил ничего компрометирующего или того, за что мне стыдно и подумал: раз так и если я честен, – пускай будет.
При этом я хорошо помню период, когда он был совсем маленьким и мы практически всё делали за него, но не могу сказать, в какой именно момент подход изменился. Хотя, наверное, это и не так важно. Куда важнее принцип, который одинаково работает в самых разных ситуациях взаимодействия с ребёнком: если ему нужна помощь взрослого он о ней обязательно попросит. А если Лука берётся что-то делать сам – я всегда стараюсь дать ему возможность попробовать самому, не встревая.
Конечно, вмешивавшись, мы можем значительно ускорить процесс или избавить малыша от негодования или раздражения. Но если у родителя есть время и возможность, а у ребёнка – инициативность, то, я убежден: лучшей помощью будет не спешить вмешаться или сделать за ребёнка, а просто быть рядом и не лишать его опыта предпринятия усилий и радости от последующего триумфа.
