Cramps are NOT a healthy part of womanhood

When you start looking beneath the surface, you’ll realize cramps aren’t “just something hormonal” and they’re definitely not something you have to live with

🎯It’s the food you’re eating
🎯 The alcohol you’re drinking
🎯 The state of your gut
🎯 The stress you’re holding
🎯 The sleep you’re not getting

These things directly shape your cycle and your experience with it.

When you start looking at your period through the lens of root cause medicine, everything changes.

Pain is a signal. It’s your body trying to communicate that something is off.
And do you know who often has period pain?

Women with fibroids!

If you haven’t heard already I’m hosting a live workshop tomorrow (Tues Jan 13th) that walks women the 5 mistakes women commonly make on their fibroid healing journey: the ones that keep them stuck, confused, or in “watch and wait,” even when they’re trying to do the right things

If you’ve been diagnosed and want more clarity on what actually matters, comment WORKSHOP and I’ll send you the details

The replay will be available for a limited time after the workshop for women who register

The biggest shift in my fibroid journey wasn’t what I did.

It was who I believed I was in my body.

I stopped outsourcing my power.

I started believing my body was adapting to things I didn’t understand yet( not betraying me)

That belief shaped my decisions

Over time, my pain resolved, my hormones stabilized, and my fibroid didn’t grow

Next Tuesday, I’m hosting a live Zoom workshop where I walk through the 5 mistakes women commonly make on their fibroid healing journey, the ones that keep them stuck, confused, or in “watch and wait,” even when they’re trying to do all the things.

If you’ve been diagnosed and want more clarity on what actually matters,

comment WORKSHOP and I’ll send you the details to register
Period pain doesn’t automatically mean fertility challenges.

But it often points to something worth paying attention to.

This especially rings true if you have been told you have adenomyosis, endometriosis and/or fibroids.

Calming inflammation is a major step I help my patients figure out.

Need help putting all the pieces together, book in for a session with me and I’ll get a plan started for you 💕

There’s a reason symptoms often feel louder around the holidays 🎄

It’s easy to point to food, sugar, alcohol, or sleep changes and yes, those matter.

But what I see just as often is how much women are carrying during this time of year.

More responsibility
More decision-making
More emotional navigating
More holding things together for everyone else

Even when moments are joyful, the body still experiences this as increased demand.

When that demand builds and lasts, the body shifts into a protective state. It prioritizes getting through the day over repair and regulation.

Hormones are deeply influenced by this shift.

That’s why symptoms like PMS, pelvic pain, heavier bleeding, inflammation, or sleep disruption can flare during certain seasons. Especially for women already navigating fibroids, hormone imbalances, or perimenopausal changes.

This isn’t about being too sensitive or not coping well enough.

It’s about understanding when symptoms show up and what that timing is trying to tell you.

Patterns matter.
Timing matters.
Your symptoms are information.

If you’ve noticed your body responding more strongly during the holidays, you’re not imagining it. And you’re not alone.

I’m curious, what tends to show up for you this time of year?
Your sleep struggles aren’t a personal failing, they’re valuable information about how safe your nervous system feels.

When we’re stuck in chronic stress our bodies literally can’t switch into the calm state needed for deep sleep.

This is why all the sleep tips in the world won’t work if your body doesn’t feel safe enough to truly rest.

Your nervous system is smart, it’s protecting you. But sometimes that protection becomes the problem.

Black women are at an increased chance of developing fibroids at some time in their life when compared to other women.

I have a personal connection to educating women about fibroids because I’ll always remember the time my doctor told me I had one.

There I was, at the young age of 25 being diagnosed with something that I thought only happened in your late 30s, early 40s.

I remember so many questions flooding my brain:

Why did this happen?
Would it affect my fertility?
And what can I do about it?

These questions were met with dead answers by my doctor.

They didn’t have any insight other than, I had African heritage which increased my risk and that I would have to watch and wait and may need to have surgery when I was ready to have children.

I left the doctor’s office confused and honestly, scared.

I wanted answers.
I needed answers.

Thankfully, I was entering naturopathic medical school soon after I found this out and came to learn that fibroids were a sign of having multiple things going on in your body.

This experience was a huge catalyst for me to understand my hormonal health and that I can control my health way more than I thought.

I want to share my personal experience and professional knowledge for all women experiencing fibroids in a way deeper than what I chat about on social media or in emails.

Come join me next Tuesday(December 16th, 2025) for my Fibroid Fix Workshop.

I’m going to talk about the top 5 mistakes women make when wanting to heal their fibroids and what to do instead.

Hope to see you there

Your iron might not be normal like your doctor said

Iron is something I test every patient that comes through my doors and is a lab testing that is so misunderstood by conventional medical doctors.

Countless women have low iron and need support when their MD said everything was “fine”

Normal doesn’t mean optimal.

Iron is a vital nutrient that plays a big role in feeling energized, healthy skin and hair, better moods, mental focus and overall health.

Many reference ranges on lab reports are outdated and span too big of a range to determine what is optimal.

Dozens of my patients’ symptoms go away when we work on their iron and they can’t believe they lived so many years with their iron status being overlooked by their medical team.

Who’s ready to up their iron levels and feel better?

Book a visit and lets chat
Your womb responds to the life you’re living🫣
Not the one you pretend is “fine”

The late nights
The stress you downplay
The emotional weight you carry in silence

Your hormones are listening
Your fibroids are listening

Most women, ESPECIALLY Black women, are told fibroids just “happen”…which leaves them believing there’s nothing they can do.

But this IS NOT true and there is a different way.

My new Fibroid webinar is coming soon:The Biggest Mistakes Women Make When Trying to Heal From Fibroids

Comment “Waitilist” to join so you don’t miss it.

Less chaos. More clarity. A different path forward.

You’ve been told fibroids are “just a uterus problem.”

But what if the real issue isn’t even in your uterus? 👀

Fibroids don’t start there.

They develop when your estrogen goes rogue, inflammation runs high, and your gut + detox pathways get stuck.

✨ That’s why so many women feel dismissed because no one looks at the whole system.

Your liver, gut, and stress response are all part of the picture.

After seeing hundreds of women in practice, I’ve noticed something major, most are unknowingly making the same mistakes when trying to heal fibroids naturally.

So this fall, I’m hosting a live event to help you understand what’s really going on beneath the surface and what it actually takes to change it.

🎟️ The waitlist now open.

You’ll be the first to know when registration opens (and get early access before everyone else).
