A stye doesn’t start overnight. 👀
A stye is usually a sign of blocked meibomian glands, the tiny oil glands in your eyelids that keep tears from evaporating.
When those oils get thick and stagnant, bacteria thrive → inflammation → styes.
Early warning signs:
• Lid tenderness or swelling

Pigmentation not only is responsible for our iris color, but also has an impact on either protecting us from or perhaps predisposing us to conditions –
🧿For example, a lighter iris color, as in blue-eyes, puts people at higher risk for:
- macular degeneration
- eye cancers (like melanoma)
- skin cancers
👁️ People with darker eye colors such as brown-eyed people are more at risk for –
- iris nevi (aka freckles)
- seasonal affective disorder
- cataracts
in addition, people with lighter-colored eyes tend to be more light sensitive.
