Last night, I discussed the confirmed Andes strain Hantavirus outbreak and why we are closely watching the possibility of human-to-human transmission.
The overall risk to the public remains low, but this is a serious virus with a 30–40% fatality rate and no vaccine or specific antiviral treatment currently available.
