Here are some ideas to keep in mind to reduce the potential prevalence of ticks:
✨ Trim back branches and keep sun on the perimeter of the yard. - Ticks like cool, damp, shaded areas.
✨ Don’t put playsets or furniture on the grass in heavily shaded areas.
✨ Keep grass short.
✨ Rake leaves often. Ticks like to hide in the shade.
✨ Spray Permethrin or organic cedar oil on the lawn. Less toxic than commercial insecticides. Permethrin is safer for amphibians and animals, yet still toxic to other insects. Cedar oil is the least harmful to other critters yet still an effective deterrent for ticks. (You also do not have to spray your lawn, this is only an option - I personally do not)
✨ Putting cedar wood chips along the perimeter of your lawn. Cedar is a natural tick deterrent.
✨ Plant crythanthemums along the perimeter or near playsets, furniture. (Where Permethrin comes from - toxic to ticks)
With the increased prevalence of Lyme disease, we need to take some precautions.

☀️ Increased Absorption:
