I was wandering through one of the island’s tiny alleyways, somewhere up on the hillside, when I suddenly saw someone and thought:
“Wait… I know him.”
Then I heard American English and finally asked:
“Were you in NYC once? In June last year? At NFT NYC?” - “Yes. Yes. Yes.”
And sure enough — it was Houston.
What are the chances of running into someone from New York on a small Greek island in the middle of the Aegean Sea?
Moments like these happen to me all the time on Hydra.
It’s as if the island has its own invisible network, quietly connecting people, stories, and paths that were never supposed to cross again.
Some call it coincidence.
