I had the opportunity to actually wrestle with Masahiro Yamaguchi 🙇♂️
Everything I used to watch during his active days—
• how he breaks the mawashi
• how he enters the dashinage (pulling throw)
• what he does right after
I experienced all of it firsthand.
Honestly…
“This is exactly how everyone was losing to him 😂”
That’s exactly how it felt.
His technical system is completely different from mine,
and I learned a lot from it.
What impressed me the most was:
👉 his way of gripping the mawashi and his “feel”
Since amateur and professional sumo use different types of mawashi,
this difference had always been on my mind.
But actually facing him, I finally understood:
the “feel,” how easy it is to break, and how easy it is to get broken.
I think this is something both pro wrestlers and amateurs can learn a lot from.

特に左の前みつと、まわしを切ってからの動きが
メチャクチャ上手かった✨✨✨

生徒として1名出場してくれました！
監督の僕がまさかのタイ出張中で不在でしたが！

ちなみに負けた相手はタイの選手でした！

相撲教室を開催した時に参加してくれた子で

あれから1週間が経ちました。
今でも夢のようです。
たくさんの人にリール動画を見ていただき感謝してます。
白鵬関（師匠）とは大学一年生の時に高校の恩師との食事会の時に初めてお会いしました。若くて調子に乗っていた私は当時はあまり緊張はしていなく楽しくしていたのを覚えてます。その後カラオケに連れて行っていただいて「あの鐘を鳴らすのはあなた」一曲歌わせていただきました。
時を経て日大四年生キャプテンになり入門に迷っていた私は再び師匠とお会いすることができました。会食後にまたカラオケに誘っていただきその時です。あの時の歌でと、なんと覚えてくれていました。「あの鐘を鳴らすあなた」
その瞬間。ここだ！おもいました。横綱が覚えてくれていたんだと心奪われました。
横綱と対戦するより横綱からたくさんのことを学びたいと素直におまいました。私の入門理由です。
あの時師匠と出会い何も考えずに大相撲に飛び込んで宮城野部屋に入りたくさん大切なことを学ばせていただきました。
今では少しづつ高校、大学の後輩達が宮城野部屋に入門してくれるようになりました。本当に本当に嬉しいことです。
もっともっとたくさんの思い出を話したいですが長くなりすぎるのでまたの機会にします。
師匠！私は弟子になれたこと本当に幸せです。
そしてこれから少しでも恩返しができる漢になれるように一生懸命頑張ります。
