2016 was such a special year as a new mom in NYC to my sweet baby boy. 🩷

As my friends at put it so perfectly - it’s not a day for the grieving families. We remember our babies every single day. But it’s a day to raise awareness of how many lives are touched by this type of traumatic loss and how many people suffer silently.
I had the honor a month ago to take the stage as the live auctioneer in Greenwich CT at The Willow Gala which is an annual event put on by The Rodon Foundation to raise money for families who can’t otherwise afford IVF.
Yankees Pitcher Carlos Rodon and his wife, Ashley Rodon, have done SO much to shine light on infertility and loss by sharing their own struggles in an open and honest way. They have set such a beautiful example for other families out there to also be transparent about their journey. I had the honor last year to interview many of them - Luke and Olivia Weaver, Gerrit and Amy Cole - and the more we talk about pregnancy loss, the more community we build around those suffering.
This year, Ashley asked me if I would share my personal connection to the cause before starting the live auction. It wasn’t easy sharing so vulnerably in a room full of strangers - including the NY Yankees starting lineup ⚾️ - but I know the impact sharing has.
