When we encounter masterpiece ink-painting, Haiku poetry, Ikebana, theatre Noh, butoh, and so on, not only the objects, words, or dancers attract us but the vast sense of empty space. At the same time, there is vibrance in such empty space and innumerable different splendour qualities manifest lively. This is not only about local Japanese culture, but rather revealing of the universal reality of existence through art.
Our everyday life passes, eating, working, or dancing, within a limited cage, burying enormously rich nature within each of us. Education, traditions, or even learning dance could mould various forms of cages. But as we observe forests carefully under the sky, so many varieties of forms and qualities of plants, flowers, stones, winds… astonish us. This workshop is an invitation to explore and encounter the sky and the forest within our body-mind, discovering unlimited movements and textures within us, and transforming the personal journey into a universal poem.

Atem, Bewegung, Transformation
Der Workshop beschäftigt sich mit der Verbindung zwischen Atmung und Bewegung. Aufgezeigt und erfahrbar gemacht durch Partnerübungen aus den Kampfkünsten (Kung Fu ), wollen wir schiebende und ziehende, führende und leitende Erfahrungen unter Wahrnehmung unserer Atmung machen.
Der Drache steht für Wandlung, Anpassungsfähigkeit und innere Kraft. Durch Atem und Bewegung erfährst du, wie du Übergänge bewusst gestalten kannst. Finde Stabilität im Wandel und Kraft in der Veränderung.

Thomas leitet seit 16 Jahren eine Schule für Kampfkunst und Selbstverteidigung in Berlin Kreuzberg die „Little Kung Fu School“.
Er ist Diplomsportwissenschaftler und Kommunikationstrainer und in den Kampfkünsten Judo, Karate, Wing Tsun, Eskrima, Wing Tai und Fechten ausgebildet.
Weiterhin war er als Dozent für Stage Combat an der UdK Berlin tätig und ist Choreograph und Stuntman für Kampfszenen in Film- und Theaterproduktionen.

ZENBreath Studie
Eine Studie zu akuten Veränderungen von Hirndurchblutung und Hirnfunktion während Breathwork.
Breathwork wird zunehmend genutzt, um veränderte Bewusstseinszustände zu induzieren – die zugrunde liegenden neurobiologischen Mechanismen sind jedoch noch wenig erforscht.
In der ZENBreath Studie wurden erfahrene Praktizierende mittels fMRT untersucht, um Veränderungen in Hirndurchblutung und Netzwerkaktivität sowie deren Zusammenhang mit dem subjektiven Erleben zu erfassen.
Erste Ergebnisse zeigen, dass intensive Atemtechniken deutliche Veränderungen in der Hirndurchblutung auslösen und mit individuellen Bewusstseinsveränderungen zusammenhängen.

Sonjas erstes bewusstes Erleben der Kraft des Atems hatte sie vor über 20 Jahren nach einer Iyengar-Yoga-Stunde in Amsterdam. Der freie Atemfluss und seine ausbalancierende Wirkung faszinierten sie nachhaltig.
Nach Jahren im Tanz und in der Kampfkunst kam sie über ihren Qi-Gong-Lehrer zum Breathwork. Sie praktizierte u. a. die Wim-Hof-Methode und fand schließlich zur Trance-Atem-Meditation.
In ihrer Ausbildung zur Atemtherapeutin bei naou (Klaus und Vidya Ulbricht) lernte sie Basti kennen. Beide integrieren auch Energiemedizin in ihre Arbeit und geben seit 2022 gemeinsam Breathwork-Sessions in Berlin.
2024 veröffentlichte sie das Buch „Breathe for Life“ und entwickelt Formate wie Retreats sowie die Morgenroutine „MORGENGOLD“ für mehr Fokus und Energie.

depth movement: this is an intense and dense group dynamic workshop. it is about energy, about constantly challenging your limits, understanding what defines you as a dancer, and pushing those boundaries over and over again. allowing the environment to influence your dancing skills, refining tools to create new movement qualities and new rhythms, digging deeper inside the range of your own personal dance vocabulary, becoming anyone or anything. working with partnering, multi-directional micro-narrative movement to transform as a whole group, learning how to effectively be unpredictable, how to recycle energy, and how to use the body as your primary tool. edivaldo guarantees a new process of study in which he goes, as a teacher and guide, parallel to your learning process, and makes you take the step of digesting the work to get to a completely new level.

Der Vortrag gibt Einblicke in die Altered States Database und das Altered Xperience Project, ein Citizen-Science-Tool zum Vergleich eigener Erfahrungen. Die entstehenden Daten werden bei den Berlin Breathwork Days gemeinsam eingeordnet.

in this workshop, we will work with duality and how two truths can occupy the same space at the same time. we will build a system where movement and jiu jitsu intersect through engaging and disengaging in physical contact and distance. we will practise tools from solo/duo improvisation, jiu jitsu drills/concepts and passing through (dz) specific partner tools for our physical approach. we will work with hands as grips, feet as hooks, pushing and pulling, looping arms and legs, different ways to carry the body, to float on top. how to interlock limbs forming different body entanglements, how to go under and over, moving through states of tension and asserting physicality. duality is present in how two elements can coexist, whether this be abstract or tangible, opposite or complementary, working to form a dynamic system. we will work with visible and invisible partners, entering a shadow system with the memory of our partner. you will be led through different improvisation tasks, game- and goal-based structures, working with physical states, submissive and dominant structures, change of tension, invading and escaping one’s space, and restrictions to create freedom. we will work in pairs, creating a space for a witness, a support, a director, an instigator, a shadow. this practice has been developing through the choreographic processes linked to 3 fingers at arm’s length (2017), curl of hair (2021), chasing ghosts (2023) and in the shade (2025).
