Ensuring my student DeAndre Simmons rehearsal goes as planned. The chosen Aida in her first ever "Bumbry Way" vocal arts Academy needed to leave the rehearsal early. So that DeAndre could rehearse she agreed to step in impromptu and I got the shot.
She'd sung the Aida Amonasro duet in the greatest opera houses, all over the world, and it was like riding a Bike. The words just flowed.
