After waking up at 1:30am, we hiked up to the lakes a couple thousand feet above the base of where we started. From here we saw the sun rise over the mountains to the East, shining a bright light across the valley and illuminating the Larch trees as far as the eye could see. Definitely my favorite memory from this trip, and something I want to get back to sooner rather than later.
