Avoriaz has fascinated me since my childhood. These many "skyscrapers" made of wood up on 1800m on a steep cliff in the French Alps are something very unique. It's a brilliant interpretation of a modern alpine village; there is no place that has a similar appearance. Avoriaz is a popular village among skiers and families who come to spend their holidays up in the Alps. This village is one of the largest stations in the ski resort Portes du Soleil that is considered the 2nd largest in the world.
