Every curve, texture, and detail was thoughtfully considered to create a mood that feels warm, intimate, and luxurious. Because for me, great design is more than what you see it’s about what you feel when you walk into a space.

While wandering through the historic streets, I kept noticing the Hand of Fatima (Hamsa) beautifully incorporated into doors and door knockers, a symbol rooted in centuries of Andalusian and North African tradition, commonly associated with protection, blessing and good fortune.
Some of these hands have rings and and some are without rings. There’s a popular local story that a ring indicated a married woman lived in the home, while a hand without a ring represented an unmarried woman. Whether historical fact or folklore, these little details make you look at every old door differently.
As a designer, this is what I love most about travelling, discovering how architecture and design can preserve stories from generations before us.
