Mohinga (catfish noodle soup): 7.5/10. Could be more flavorful, but squeezing the provided lemon gives it that brightness it needs. Love the toppings, especially the piece of fried catfish!
Burmese style chicken salad: 9/10. Veggies are fresh. Love the tangy dressing. The chicken is lightly fried, giving it an interesting texture
Chicken kebat (wok-tossed chicken with tamarind & turmeric): 9/10. Love the complexity of the tamarind turmeric sauce! They put a lot of chicken in here, so the value is 👍

Porto’s is a Cuban bakery chain in SoCal known for its tasty yet affordable pastries and desserts (cheese rolls, potato balls, Parisian chocolate cake, tres leches cake…) The line always goes out the door, but there are 20 cashiers working at once, so you’ll get to the front in reasonable time 😅

(Karla’s charcuterie boxes are gorgeous, and she uses top-quality ingredients from local farms. Perfect for your next picnic 🧺🥰)
(Maya’s brigadeiros are the perfect creamy-yet-chewy consistency, and so fragrant too! 🍬 Her packaging is also 💯, so I love gifting these sweet Brazilian treats)
(Yonette’s oxtail stew, curry chicken🍛, and jerk chicken🍗 are all mouthwateringly good! Whenever you’re craving Caribbean, you know where to go 😋)
(For all my gluten-free friends out there, Sharon’s GF sourdough pop tarts🫓 are sooo yummy!!! So much better than your typical grocery store pop tart 🙌)
