In summer 2025, the Montenegrin Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property launched an international competition for a new university library in #Podgorica. The brief called for a design that respects the academic context and integrates into the campus, while establishing a distinct and recognizable identity.
The project aims to engage sensitively with its surroundings, articulate a clear architectural language, and offer flexible, adaptable spaces for a wide range of users. The library is conceived as a dynamic hub for knowledge, culture, and innovation, equipped with modern infrastructure and intended to play a lasting role in university life.
The proposal combines proven design elements with local requirements: the facade concept interprets book spines as horizontally arranged ceramic elements.

Nursery schools are among the most formative educational spaces for the youngest. This is where first experiences of community, space, and independence take shape, making it all the more important to create an architecture that provides a sense of security while allowing for openness.
With the Mobile Kindergarten Innsbruck, we demonstrate how flexible and future-oriented educational buildings can be conceived. Located in the Olympic Village, the project occupies a temporary site: A single-storey modular timber structure that functions as an independent three-group kindergarten.
Fully prefabricated off-site, the building stands for efficiency and precision in execution. Its reversibility is equally integral to the concept: the kindergarten can be assembled quickly and just as easily dismantled. The individual spatial modules remain adaptable and can be reconfigured in a new location.
The result is an architecture that not only responds to current needs but is also prepared for future change.

We are delighted to share that our project Rudolf Steiner School in Mauer has been nominated for the Austrian State Prize for Timber Construction 2026 which is being awarded for the first time.
The official award ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Sofiensäle in Vienna! We are very much looking forward to this special occasion.
The project is a strong example of how high-quality architecture, sustainable timber construction, and interdisciplinary collaboration can come together to create lasting value. Our sincere thanks go to everyone involved in making this project possible.

Based in Zurich, she embodies our DTFLR values through practice development, while engaging with local associations such as the SFG and Architectes sans Frontières in Geneva. As an architect and consultant for urban ecology, she focuses on integrating nature as an essential part of the built environment.
As a mother of two, this perspective goes beyond the professional. Barbara is committed to sharing knowledge with the next generation, leading workshops with children on greening, biodiversity, and the role of nature in the city.

With a building comprising 27 rental apartments and office spaces, we establish a thoughtful transition between the historic ensemble in Klostergasse and a contemporary structure along St. Anna Straße.
Beyond densification, the generous staircase transforms what was once a narrow passage into a more accessible and inviting public space.
Through this open design and the sensitive dialogue between historic fabric and contemporary architecture, a place emerges that connects people, pathways, and periods in time.
