I have to address what I am seeing on my posts lately. On this video where I am styling my own hair there are comments saying my hair does not blend with the Burmese curly texture and that I cannot grow curly hair. Let me be clear these comments are not so hurtful to me because over the years with my experience with social media and negativity I learned the value of self love and value, but these comments feel deeply colorist and texturist. It is upsetting to see black women degrading other black women over hair. This behavior comes off as narcissistic and dismissive of someone else’s craft and experience. I am proud of the work I do and the care I put into my hair and my clients hair. I am not posting this to prove myself to anyone. I could have tried to justify or defend myself after all the negative comments from my other videos yall choose to degrade CONSTANTLY but that is not my intention. I just want to show that the people making these comments do not know what they are talking about and often do not realize how damaging their words can be to others. Instead of tearing each other down we should be uplifting and celebrating our textures and our beauty.

Before styling, I properly prep the unit with moisture-infusing products. This keeps the hair hydrated and manageable, allowing me to use minimal heat and avoid multiple passes with hot tools, which greatly contributes to the longevity of the hair.
I also regularly trim the ends during maintenance to prevent splitting and thinning. Keeping the ends healthy helps the unit maintain fullness, movement, and overall quality over time.
Behind the scenes, I take my time preparing every wig and extension with intention and care. I never rush the prep process because the longevity of my client’s hair starts long before styling begins. This is why my services are so intentional and why I take pride in slowing down and doing things the right way when it comes to my clients’ extensions. Quality care takes time, and that time is what makes the difference.
