Before the day truly unfolds, we like to arrive a little earlier. This quiet time allows us to focus on the elements you carefully chose and dreamed about for months. Rings, bouquet, boutonniere, flowers, cufflinks, invitations, menus, name tags. Every single piece matters.
We always ask our couples to keep these details aside for us. Not because they’re “just objects,” but because they carry intention, emotion, and memory. You spent time choosing colors, textures, paper, flowers, and symbols that represent you and our role is to honor that effort.
One important tip: ask your stationery designer to prepare a few extra copies of your invitations. And if you’re getting married in Italy but living abroad, remember to bring an extra invitation and all the stationery elements you’ll need for the flat lay photos with you. These small details often get forgotten and they make a huge difference.
This is also the moment where we slow down, experiment, and create something artistic. Flat lays and detail shots are not rushed images; they’re crafted with the same care you put into designing your wedding. They become part of your visual story, the opening chapter of your day.

The getting ready is one of the most emotional and intimate moments of your wedding day and the way it’s planned has a huge impact on your wedding photos.
For the bride, if possible, we always suggest booking two separate rooms: one dedicated to hair and makeup (which can easily become chaotic), and a second one for the actual getting ready and putting on the dress. This room should be clean, tidy, filled with natural light and visually beautiful. A calm and well-styled space allows for elegant, timeless images.
Take a moment with your closest friends, breathe, laugh, and enjoy this time together, these are often the most meaningful memories.
It’s also very important to coordinate with your makeup artist to be fully ready at least one hour before the ceremony. This creates space for relaxed portraits, avoids rushing, and keeps the energy calm and relaxed.
For both bride and groom, don’t leave out the accessories. Prepare a box for your photographers with all your meaningful details: rings, perfumes, shoes, earrings, flat lay invitations or lace paper goods. The dress should be prepared and hanging on a beautiful hanger (never a plastic one).
For the groom, the same applies: cufflinks, watch, shoes, perfume and any personal item that tells your story.

For the groom’s getting ready, choose a bright room and keep it as minimal and organized as possible. Set aside your details before the photographers arrive, hang your suit properly, and avoid graphic t-shirts or logos.
