- Gokujun Hyaluronic Cream ( $17 on ) - I love this gel cream. But I could easily see why others would hate it. It’s very light but highly moisturizing. It has 3 different weights of Hyaluronic acid. The main issue: it’s sooo sticky. After about 30 minutes, enough has soaked into my skin that it doesn’t feel sticky anymore. But if I’m doing my skincare and immediately going to bed, I’ll reach for another cream. If you’re in need of some serious moisture but you skin can’t handle thick creams, I’d look here.

- Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream ( $25 at ) - much thicker that the previous cream, this ceramide based cream creates an exclusive layer to help decrease water loss and strengthen the skins barrier. This is really geared towards people like me with very dry skin. While I like this moisturizer for what it is, I don’t find that it on its own provides some incredible difference to my skin. Paired with the rest of my routine, it’s a lovely finishing step.

- Nutrinature Ultra Nourishing Cream ( $38 on site ) - I actually bought this along with their All In One Multitem in the hopes that I could convince him to start using skincare. As you can tell by me not using it, it didn’t work. But I’ve really enjoyed this one. Thickness wise, it sits comfortably between the first two creams I’ve talked about: thick enough without feeling like it’s clogging my pores. I reach for this mostly when my skin if feeling irritated. There’s just something about this cream that feels so soothing. I would happily repurchase this over and over again. It’s also the works well during the day under makeup.

- * Hydrating Cream ( $75 at ) - in a lot of ways, this reminds me of the previous cream. Perfect texture and intensely hydrating. This I like a tall drink of water for my skin. It’s soothing but light. Also works perfect under makeup.

First thing I want to perfect: my base. I just picked up the cream cheek products from over the weekend and they’re already here! Pretty fucking fast if you ask me.
I played around with them for the first time this afternoon and they’re beautiful. For everyday, I think they’re going to be spectacular. Not positive how they’ll work in a wedding environment yet since they’re so beautifully light and emollient. With so much going on, you’d think I’d be freaking out about wedding colors and food choices. But no. I’m sitting here thinking about my wedding skincare routine. The products I want to use to get my skin in the absolute best shape it can be in. So I started incorporating a retinol back into my routine a few days ago. But with retinol comes an intense need for SPF. I’ve been trying out this Athlizm SPF Essence and really enjoying it. My one criticism? It contains alcohol. Most Japanese SPFs do so I wasn’t surprised, but I’d like to find a good sunscreen that is alcohol free.

Before picking this up, I knew very little about ginseng and the benefits, but it’s pretty safe to say I plan on having it in my skincare routine in some form or fashion for the foreseeable future. It helps with fine lines and wrinkles, it has antioxidant properties, helps brighten the skin, it helps inhibit melanin production, making it great for people like me who suffer from hyperpigmentation, and it helps soothe acne.
