3️⃣ MEZCAL
I know there are a lot of mezcal haters out there (along with allegedly half our guests prior to coming to Oaxaca). But what they quickly learned is that the mezcal in Oaxaca is far superior to what they are serving you at your local bar. We went through 50+ bottles over the weekend, just to give you an idea of just how much they loved it 👀
2️⃣ CALENDA:
The streets of Oaxaca were literally SHUT DOWN just for us to have this traditional Oaxacan parade. We kept the parade as a secret from our guests and it was THE PERFECT transition from emotional ceremony to turn up reception (and the shots of mezcal along the way def helped) 😅It was giving HBCU marching band in Oaxaca and I love that for me!
1️⃣ UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES:
we are in that season of our lives where EVERYONE is getting married, so our friends have been to a lot of weddings. BUT we’ve had at least 20+ people tell us over the past couple of weeks that ours was the best wedding they have ever been to. If that’s not a compliment, I don’t know what is 🤍
