It was also such a lovely wedding to be part ofāsimple, elegant, beautifully organized, and filled with warmth. The kind of celebration where everyone feels welcomed, relaxed, and genuinely happy to be there.

But today felt like the first proper sunny summer day in the Netherlands, so we stepped out to Amsterdam for a walk.
Walking near the beautiful canals, looking at the water, the evening sun, and just slowing down a littleā¦ it felt really nice.š
Not every day needs to be luxury.
Not every hotel needs an infinity pool or a dreamy mountain view.
But on a 7ā10 day trip, Iāve realized this:
book at least a few days somewhere that makes you slow down.

have long conversations with your partner or familyā¦
or simply do nothing without feeling guilty.
Because travel is not only about running from one viewpoint to another, ticking places off a list.
Some of my favourite memories from places like Switzerland, New Zealand, and Mauritius were not even outside.
They were the slow mornings, cozy evenings, the views from the room, the calm, the feeling.
And somehow, those stays make the entire experience feel ten times more special.
Sometimes the room is the destination too.
For 25 minutes, it was pure adrenaline Honestly, one of those experiences you donāt fully understand until you do it.

You know when people keep calling a place āthe most beautiful town in the worldā and youāre like, okay sure.š
But then we landed, and something about it just feltā¦ different.
The mountains quietly frame everything.
The lake sits there like itās always known itās beautiful.
Even from our apartment, the view didnāt try too hardāit just was.
We had our plans, but somehow the best parts were in betweenā
walking along the lake, pausing a little longer than expected,
noticing how every angle looked like a postcard.
Three days, three nights hereā¦ and it still felt like we were only just settling in.
If you come here, donāt rush it. Stay a little longer. Let it sink in.
