🇬🇧 With Filmspecial: Eighties, FilmHallen dives into a decade that was long overlooked, yet quietly shaped film history.
The eighties brought the VCR into people’s homes and changed the way we watch films forever. Suddenly, cult and niche cinema found new audiences, opening doors for genres that weren’t always given centre stage. Science fiction and horror reached new heights, multiplex culture flourished, and a new generation of filmmakers arrived with groundbreaking debuts.
The decade also produced a wave of stars who would go on to become true icons. With Eighties, FilmHallen celebrates the films, filmmakers and movements that made this era unforgettable.
