Je ne me lasserai jamais de cette image. Je l’ai produite en réalisant des doubles expositions au hasard. Disons que le processus est aléatoire, mais intentionnel. Cela limite donc le hasard dans ce cas précis. J’ai ainsi vidé une pellicule en photographiant l’océan et ses motifs aquatiques. Puis, un autre jour, j’ai rechargé cette pellicule pour faire des portraits de Ksénia. La barre noire trahit le procédé en raison du décalage du film. Et c’est justement cela qui m’a frappé! Cette bande noire juste en dessous de son œil, comme un soulignement d’un regard intense. Et puis cette surimpression de motifs maritimes mélangée à un portrait en mouvement… Sans parler du magnifique visage de Ksénia plein de mystère! Je suis tombé amoureux de cette image à la seconde où je l’ai vue, et j’en ai fait la couverture de mon livre BOOK 2022. Elle symbolise parfaitement mon travail en général: un mélange entre poésie et puissance, ainsi qu’une philosophie à la frontière entre intuitivité et contrôle absolu de mon travail.
